Cloudeek – Job Match & Resume Tailor
Last updated: September 28, 2026

This policy explains how Cloudeek Inc ("Cloudeek", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use the Cloudeek – Job Match & Resume Tailor browser extension (the "Extension") and the online services behind it, including our API at api.cloudeek.com (together, the "Service").

In short

  • Your resume, settings, scanned jobs and tailored resumes stay in your browser. They aren't stored on our servers.
  • When you use an AI feature, the text it needs (for example your resume and a job description) passes through our servers to our AI providers, and the result comes back to you. We don't store or log that text, and it isn't used to train AI models.
  • On our servers we keep only what's needed to run your account: your email address, your credit balance and purchases, and a record of what each AI request cost (not what it contained).
  • We don't sell your personal information, show ads or use trackers.

1. Who we are and who is accountable

Cloudeek Inc is a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, with its registered office in Ontario, Canada. We're responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Our Privacy Officer is accountable for how we handle it. You can reach them at info@cloudeek.com.

2. What we collect and why

Information When we get it Why we use it
Email address When you sign in To create and identify your account, send you sign-in codes, and send messages about your account, purchases and the Service
Sign-in codes Each time you sign in To confirm it's you. Codes are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form and expire after 10 minutes
Session details While you're signed in To keep you signed in: a scrambled session token, when it was created and last used, and your browser and Extension version
Balance and usage records Each time you use a paid feature To charge you correctly and show you your usage: the date and time, the feature (for example job scan, keyword analysis or resume tailoring), the AI model, the amount of text processed (tokens), its cost and the credits charged. These records don't contain your resume or the job text
Purchase records When you buy credits For accounting, taxes, refunds and payment support: the amount, currency, date, country or region, and Stripe's reference numbers. We never receive your full card number
IP address and technical data When the Extension contacts our servers To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse (for example by limiting sign-in attempts) and fix errors
Messages you send us When you contact us To answer you and keep a record of what we agreed, such as a refund

Content you process with the Service

To provide a feature you ask for, we process the content it needs: your resume text, job descriptions, the text of job pages you scan, and your tailoring settings. This content passes through our servers to our AI providers (see section 4), and the result goes back to your browser. We don't store this content on our servers, we don't log it, and we don't use it to train AI models.

Your resume includes details about you, such as your contact details, work history and education. Please leave out sensitive details a job application doesn't need, such as health information or government ID numbers.

Information that stays in your browser

The resume file you upload, your settings, the jobs you scan, and the tailored resumes and job descriptions you create are stored in your browser's extension storage on your device. We can't see them. You can delete them at any time: remove your resume on the My resume tab, clear your results, or uninstall the Extension.

What we don't collect

The Extension doesn't track your browsing: it reads a web page only when you ask it to scan that page. It doesn't use cookies, advertising or analytics tools.

3. Your consent

By creating an account and using the Service, you consent to the handling of your personal information described in this policy. Some of it is necessary to provide the Service: for example, we can't tailor your resume without sending it and the job description to an AI provider. You can withdraw your consent at any time by stopping use of the Service and closing your account; we then can't provide the Service to you.

We'll ask for your consent before using your personal information for any new purpose. We'll only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Service, only the information each one needs, and under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us.

Provider What they do for us Where they may process it
Cloudflare Hosts our API and database, protects our network, and routes emails sent to us United States and other countries in its global network
OpenRouter Routes AI requests to the providers of the AI model being used (for example Anthropic or Google) United States; model providers may process it in the United States or other countries
TypeSafe (Jev) Checks how well your resume matches a job's requirements, and reviews tailored edits May be outside Canada
Stripe (Link) Merchant of record for credit purchases: sells you the credits, processes your payment, collects sales taxes, sends receipts and provides payment support. Stripe's privacy policy applies to what you give it at checkout United States, Ireland and other countries
SMTP2GO Delivers our emails, such as sign-in codes May be outside Canada

We set up our AI routing to exclude providers that may use requests to train their models. AI providers may keep request data for a limited time under their own policies, for example to detect abuse.

We may also disclose personal information when the law requires it (for example, to comply with a court order); to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Cloudeek; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case it stays protected under this policy.

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

5. Processing outside Canada

Our providers process personal information in the United States and other countries outside Canada. There, it's subject to local law and may be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We assess the protection it will receive before choosing a provider, and we rely on agreements that require our providers to protect it.

6. How long we keep it

Information How long we keep it
Sign-in codes Until used, or 10 minutes
Session details Until you sign out, or 30 days after you last use the Service
IP addresses in security logs Up to 30 days
Email address, balance and usage records While your account is open; deleted within 30 days after you close it
Purchase records As long as tax law requires, currently six years after the end of the tax year they relate to
Messages you send us Up to two years after the conversation ends
Content you process (resumes, job text) Not stored: it's only processed while your request runs

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect it

We encrypt all connections to our servers, store sign-in codes and session tokens only in hashed form, limit access to personal information to people who need it, and don't store the content you process. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach involving your personal information could seriously harm you, we'll notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and learn how it has been used and shared;
  • correct it if it's inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your account and personal information (in the Extension or by email), except what we must keep by law;
  • withdraw your consent, as described in section 3;
  • receive a copy of the personal information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format; and
  • complain about how we handle it.

To make a request, email info@cloudeek.com from the address you sign in with (that's how we confirm it's you). We respond within 30 days, and there's no charge.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

United States residents. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know about, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale, of targeted advertising and of certain kinds of profiling. We don't sell or share personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We honor access, correction and deletion requests from everyone in the United States, whether or not a state law requires it, and you won't be treated differently for making a request.

9. Scores and automated processing

The Extension calculates match and fit scores to help you choose jobs and tailor your resume. These scores are only for you: we don't use them to make decisions about you, and we don't share them with employers.

10. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Cloudeek's use of information collected through the Extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to provide the Extension's features you use. We don't sell it, use it for advertising or use it to decide creditworthiness, and no one at Cloudeek reads your content unless you ask us to (for example, when you send it to us for support), it's needed for security, or the law requires it.

11. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We'll post any changes on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the Extension or by email before it takes effect.
