Terms of Service

Cloudeek – Job Match & Resume Tailor
Last updated: September 28, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Cloudeek Inc ("Cloudeek", "we", "us"), a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act with its registered office in Ontario, Canada. They cover the Cloudeek – Job Match & Resume Tailor browser extension (the "Extension") and the online services behind it, including our API at api.cloudeek.com (together, the "Service").

Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of these terms. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Cloudeek

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • The Service is offered to people who live in the United States or in Canada outside Québec. It isn't available in Québec at this time. You confirm where you live when you sign in.
  • You need an email address that only you use: we send sign-in codes to it, so anyone who can read that inbox can sign in to your account. Keep it secure.
  • One person per account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at info@cloudeek.com if you think someone else has used it.

2. What Cloudeek does

Cloudeek helps you apply for jobs. When you ask it to, the Extension reads the job postings on the page you're viewing, estimates how well your resume matches each one, and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create a tailored version of your resume. Tailored resumes keep your document's formatting, and your original file isn't changed.

We keep improving the Service, so features may change, be added or be removed. We work to keep the Service available, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

3. AI output and your responsibility

  • AI can be wrong. Tailored text can contain mistakes, and it can describe your experience in ways that go beyond what you actually did. Match and fit scores are estimates, not assessments by an employer.
  • Review every change before you use a tailored resume. The Extension shows each edit and flags edits that may claim more than your original resume supports, but it can't catch everything.
  • You're responsible for everything in the resumes and applications you send. Only submit information that is true. Don't use the Service to create false or misleading credentials, experience or qualifications.
  • Cloudeek isn't a recruiter, employer or career adviser. We don't guarantee interviews, offers or any other outcome.

4. Credits, prices and payment

  • Prepaid credits. Paid features use prepaid credits, valued in US dollars. You buy credits in advance; we never charge you automatically.
  • How usage is charged. Each AI request is charged at its actual cost from our AI providers, multiplied by our current rate. The Extension shows your balance and what each action cost, and gives you an estimate before you start a large batch.
  • Price changes. We may change our rate or the price of credits. Changes apply only to purchases and usage after they take effect, we announce them in the Extension or by email before they do, and they never reduce the dollar value of credits you already hold.
  • Checkout and taxes. Credits are sold through Stripe, which acts as merchant of record through its "Link" service: Stripe processes your payment, adds and collects any applicable sales taxes, sends your receipt and provides payment support. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment. The charge appears on your statement as "LINK.COM* CLOUDEEK" or similar.
  • Credits don't expire while your account is open. They have no cash value except as refunded under our Refund Policy, and they can't be transferred, sold or exchanged.
  • Promotional credits (for example, a sign-up bonus) have no cash value, can't be refunded, and may be removed if they were obtained through abuse, such as creating several accounts.
  • Low balances. A request that starts while you have enough credits may finish slightly below zero. We won't bill you for that, but you'll need to add credits before using paid features again.
  • Mistakes. If we charge you incorrectly, or a request fails because of an error on our side or our providers', we return the credits.

5. Refunds

You can get a refund of unused credits within 30 days of purchase, as set out in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.

6. Your content

  • You keep all rights to your resume, the job descriptions you process and everything else you provide ("your content"), and to the tailored resumes you create.
  • You allow us to use your content only to provide the Service to you: for example, to send your resume and a job description to our AI providers when you ask for a tailored resume. We don't store your content on our servers, don't use it to train AI models and don't sell it. Our Privacy Policy explains the details.
  • Only provide content you have the right to use. Don't include other people's personal information unless you're allowed to.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break any law, or use the Service to deceive employers or anyone else;
  • get around credit charges, rate limits or security measures, or use someone else's account;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or offer the Service or our API to others, or use them to build a competing product;
  • use our API other than through the Extension, or send it automated traffic that doesn't come from normal use of the Extension;
  • reverse-engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
  • upload malware, or use the Service to harass, harm or discriminate against anyone;
  • use the Service in a way that breaks the terms of the websites you use it on.

8. Other websites and services

The Extension works on job boards and career sites run by others, such as LinkedIn, Indeed or company career pages. It only reads a page when you ask it to scan that page. Those sites have their own terms, and you're responsible for following them. We aren't responsible for third-party websites or the job postings on them.

The Service relies on providers such as AI model providers, TypeSafe, Stripe and Cloudflare. Their services may change or become unavailable, which can affect ours.

9. Our software and your license

The Extension, the Service and their content (other than your content) belong to Cloudeek Inc and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Extension and the Service for your own job search, in line with these terms. If you'd like to use Cloudeek for a business, for example to tailor resumes for clients, contact us first.

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the Extension or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect, and we'll refund the unused part of the credits you bought, whenever you bought them. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, the new terms apply to you.

11. Closing your account and suspension

  • You can close your account at any time in the Extension or by emailing info@cloudeek.com. When you do, we refund unused credits as set out in the Refund Policy; any other remaining credits end with the account.
  • We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you dispute a payment while keeping the credits it bought, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or other users. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • If we close your account without you having broken these terms, or we stop offering the Service, we refund all your unused purchased credits.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The consumer protection laws of your province or state may give you rights that can't be excluded. These terms don't take those rights away.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, income, profits or data; and
  • our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months before the claim arose and (b) US$50.

These limits don't apply to liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct or personal injury.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@cloudeek.com; most problems can be solved quickly. Any dispute we can't resolve will be decided by the courts of Ontario. If you're a consumer, you keep any right the law of your province or state gives you to bring a claim in the courts where you live and under its consumer protection laws. We don't use mandatory arbitration or class-action waivers.

15. General

  • These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • If we don't enforce a right right away, we haven't given it up.
  • You may not transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, with notice to you, and your rights under them continue.
  • We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • We may send you notices by email or in the Extension.
